History Lives in Savannah's Cemeteries (4th, 8th Grades, High School)

History comes to life in Savannah's historic cemeteries, the resting places of many notable historical figures. Participants may choose to visit:

Colonial Park Cemetery (CPC)to learn about colonial and Revolutionary-era Savannahians and their contributions to our city, state, and nation.

Laurel Grove North Cemetery (LGN) the final resting place of many important people from the antebellum and Civil War periods.

Georgia Standards:

   CC: 4th Grade – SS4H1a, SS4H1b, SS4H41d, SS4H2a

    CC: 8th Grade – SS8H3a, SS8H3b, SS8H3c, 

LGN: 4th Grade – SS4H5a, SS4H5b, SS4H5c, SS4H5d, SS4H5e, SS4E1f
