Welcome to the Human Resources Department website. The Savannah-Chatham County Public School system is one of the largest systems in the state of Georgia, with over 38,000 students in 55 facilities. We are the largest employer in Chatham County. Our mission is to attract, retain and support a high performing workforce committed to fostering educational excellence. 

Areas of responsibility of the department of Human Resources include Employment Services, Risk Management, Benefits and Compensation and Employee Relations. We want to ensure that all positions in Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools are filled with highly qualified employees. Human Resources supports new teachers throughout the school year with a hands-on THRIVE teacher induction program.
