***Reminder from Nurse Katie - any medication remaining in the nurse’s office will be discarded on May 23rd, 2024. Medication may not be sent home with students. A parent or guardian will need to sign out the medication in order for it to be returned.***


CHROMEBOOKS & MOBILE HOTSPOTS: Students with school devices checked out may return Chromebooks and/or mobile hotspots to the media center as soon as possible. We are open before school, after school, during all lunches, and students may visit the media center during class with a pass from a teacher. We will have an advisement Monday, May 20th at which point all school issued devices will be due back in to the media center. When preparing your device/devices for return, please do not forget the charging cord.

SPEAR Club is hosting a supply drive for the local Humane Society!
Please see Mrs. Chase in room 311 for details. Friday May 3rd is the deadline.

Attention Parents of Freshmen: If you have not done so already, please pay your child's Freshmen Dues on the SchoolCash ASAP. The $45.00 dues cover the October PSAT exam fee, freshmen t-shirt, the December celebration, and other freshmen events. 



Attention rising 11th Graders:
Attention sophomores! The health department will hold a meningitis immunization clinic on April 25th and May 2nd. This vaccine is required on or after your 16th birthday. An up to date immunization record will be required in order to remain enrolled during the 2024/2025 school year. Do not delay obtaining this important vaccine. There is a Meningitis Vaccine Clinic at the Chatham County Health Department April 25th & May 2nd from 3-6pm by appointment. 912-356-2441

In the interest of public safety, SCCPSS will implement the Clear Bag Policy (shown above) and Security Screening.


SECURITY SCREENING CHECKPOINT

All Persons and Packages Are Subject To Search Upon Entry

Failure to consent or submit to inspection will result in denial of entry.


NOTICE

Guests will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package or container into the venue:

Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"

One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)

Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the venue with one of the clear plastic bags


**An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection***

Prohibited bags include but are not limited to:

purses larger than a clutch bag, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, non-approved seat cushions or seatbacks, computer bags, diaper bags, binocular cases, and camera bags.

*Non-approved seat cushions and seatbacks include large traditional seat cushions that have pockets, zippers, compartments, or covers. Seat cushions and seatbacks must be 16" or less in width with no armrests.​

​News From Nurse Katie:


SCCPSS has implemented new covid guidelines for staff and students. There is no longer a mandatory 5 day isolation period for covid related illness. This is consistent with the latest CDC guidelines. As with any illness, the individual should remain home until symptoms have improved and they are no longer having fever for at least 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication.
