This is an important message from your principal, Dr. Carthon. On Monday, October 7, 2024, our school will remain on an E-Learning Day. While many schools across the district will be open on Monday, our school is one of seven that does not have full power and connectivity. In order for our school to be open and to receive students and staff, power and connectivity must be restored, and a full assessment of the facility must be conducted. Given this, we will operate virtually on Monday with an asynchronous E-Learning day. This means students will work independently to complete assignments and teachers will be available to assist remotely as needed. Teachers will provide students with further guidance on E-Learning assignments through ClassDojo. No student will be penalized for inability to participate in any of the E-Learning Days throughout this emergency weather event. Extended or alternative opportunities to complete assignments will be provided to ensure students are marked present. Once again, our school will operate on asynchronous E-Learning Day and remote workday for staff on Monday, October 7, 2024. The District continues to work closely with emergency management official across the county and is deploying all available assets to ensure a return to full in-person learning while maintaining a safe teaching and learning environment. An operational update will be provided no later than 2:00pm on Monday, October 7, 2024, regarding Tuesday operations.
