April is the Month of the Military Child!

April is the Month of the Military Child!  In honor of our military families, SWMS will sponsor the following events during the month of April: 

Monday, April 15th: World Map
Each House (or homeroom class) recognizes where military students have lived allowing them the opportunity to share their favorite place or experiences with classmates.

Wednesday, April 17th: Purple Up! Day
Students and staff will wear purple to celebrate our military students.

Tuesday, April 23rd: Camo/Service Branch Day  
Students and staff can wear military attire in honor of a military parent or their favorite branch of service. 

Tuesday, April 23rd: Wall of Honor
Military students will receive postcards to take home for parents to complete sharing why their student belongs on the wall of honor.

Wednesday, April 24th: Wounded Warrior Project Wednesday
Scholars and staff may dress-down for $2. All faculty/staff can earn SWMS House Points with a minimum donation of $10. A portion of the proceeds goes to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Friday, April 26th: Military Student Appreciation Day
Appreciation/study skills sacks will be given out to all designated military students at the end of the day by Mr. Kendrick and Mrs. Robbins.
