​​We are excited to welcome you back to Oatland Island Wildlife Center! As part of our commitment to the continued well-being of our visitors, employees and the animals in our care, and in ongoing efforts to assist the Savannah community in preventing the spread of COVID-19, we have implemented enhanced protocols and procedures you will notice during your visit to Oatland Island.

Timed Ticketing

Until further notice, please note the following changes to help offer the best experience possible for both visitors and staff.

MEMBERS: Reservations are required to secure a date and time entrance for your group. Please check for an email from FOO for details on how to reserve your tickets.

VISITORS: Admission tickets must be purchased in advance, which include a date and time to visit.

WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE WALK UPS AT THIS TIME. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A TICKET RESERVATION YOU WILL BE ASKED TO TURN AROUND AND EXIT THE PROPERTY.

Our limited, timed admission system will not only provide for an intimate experience on the property, but also allow us to reduce person to person contact and better maintain social distancing throughout the admissions process.

A visit to Oatland Island is mostly an outdoor experience, however, masks are required to enter some areas of the center, for your convenience, masks are available for purchase with the Gift Shop.​

You will find hand sanitizing stations throughout Oatland Island.

We are frequently cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and common touchpoints.​​

The Lobby will remain closed, with the exception of the Gift Shop which is open for cold drinks, snacks, bug spray, and souvenirs. Gift Shop occupancy will be limited to one family group at a time. Additionally, masks and temperature checks are REQUIRED to enter the Gift Shop.

Restrooms will be available in the Georgia Barnyard area.

You are booking a 30-minute arrival window but may enjoy Oatland's exhibits and grounds until 4:45pm.

Visuals at some habitats will suggest where guests should stand to watch the animals.​
