Did you know that you can support your favorite animal at Oatland Island Wildlife Center through our Adopt a Wild Friend program? Now, more than ever, our adoption program is essential for our center and 100% of your adoption donation will purchase food, habitat maintenance, enrichment and veterinary medicine for your favorite animal!
Symbolically adopting for a friend or a loved one is the perfect gift for the holidays, birthdays and anniversaries. Individuals, companies, school classes and organizations can choose one of our animals to "adopt" for a fee of $30 per animal.
All adoptions will receive a certificate with the animal's picture and a Fact Sheet about your animal.

Can I give an adoption as a gift?
Adoptions make great gifts for every animal lover! Just check the "gift" option on the application form to let us know who will be receiving your adopt a wild friend package.
Does my Adopt a Wild Friend purchase benefit animal care?
All donations raised through animal adoptions go directly to the cost of caring for the animal you adopt.
Can I Adopt a Wild Friend that is not on the list?
Absolutely! If there is an animal in our collection that is not on the list, please email our Adopt a Wild Friend coordinator to help you with your adoption application.
Can I have a personal meet and greet with my adopted friend?
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate requests for personal meet and greets with our animals at this time.
Can I order an adoption online?
Yes! Please fill out the adoption request above and our staff will email you an invoice for your adoption. Please allow up to 5-7 business days for a response to inquiries and requests and please check email junk folders in case responses or invoices don't appear in your inbox. Once your invoice is paid in full, we will mail out your adoption to the address requested on your form.
