
Team Building: This program gives your students the experience of working together to accomplish a series of challenges during which they will discover a lot about themselves and others. The experience enables students to break out of their comfort zones and learn to work with each other strengths and weaknesses to succeed in their tasks.
Program Length: 2 hours
Digitarium: The Digitarium is our portable, computerized planetarium system. A room with a minimum clearance of 12’ is needed to use the system. Astronomy programs utilizing the Digitarium can be made to fit with the topic of your choice, or we have several programs that can be expanded to fit into the Middle School curriculum.

Program Length: Approximately 1 hour

Barrier Island Dynamics: Oatland teachers will explain the physical forces that act upon the sand to cause both erosion and accretion of the barrier islands. Also, how humans influence these coastal islands will be discussed along with long term impacts and climate patterns.
Note: This program meets on Tybee Island.
Program Length: Approximately 2 hours

Trails & Treasures (Map/Compass): Students will learn how to use a compass and then how to apply that knowledge to finding their way on a map. Students will finalize their trip by working in teams to move through a compass course to find hidden “treasures”. This field trip can accommodate up to 30 students.
