SCCPSS Summer Reading Program: Grades 6-12

Published on: 6/9/2021

Scholars, are you ready to increase your knowledge and literacy skills this summer? Well let’s get ready to prepare for the upcoming school year by participating in our SCCPSS Summer Reading Program.  Just like exercising keeps your heart and muscles in shape, so too does reading keep your brain in shape!

During our SCCPSS Summer Reading Program, you will read or listen to 2 – 5 books from the attached list of recommended texts or any other books that are of interest to you.  Please select books that align to your grade level and Lexile measure.

Scholars, after reading your 2 – 5 books, you will submit an electronic or hard copy two-paragraph summary and personal reflection for each book by Tuesday, August 31, 2021 using this Mercer Middle School Google Form link https://forms.gle/gCTM1Cw4wej5QZ1h6 which is also located on page 4 of the attached document.  Each submitted summary will be reviewed by your English Language Arts teacher.

We look forward to reading your summaries and personal reflections!

Enjoy your summer!
