Mercer Middle School Daily Bell Schedule, Grade-Level Lunch Schedule, Punctuality and Early Dismissal Expectations for SY2024-2025

Published on: 7/10/2024

The bell time for Mercer Middle School has changed for the 2024-2025 school year.  Our NEW school bell time is 7:30am - 2:30pm and our Daily Bell Schedule with our Grade-Level Lunch Schedule is outlined below.

PUNCTUALITYStudents are to be on time for school and all classes. Punctuality is essential for uninterrupted instruction. It is mandatory that students arrive to school on time.  Tardiness is unacceptable. Any child arriving to school after
7:45 a.m. must be signed in by a parent or guardian. It is mandatory that students attend school on time and stay throughout the school day.  A student is tardy when he/she arrives at school or at class after the designated time of 7:30 a.m. Students who arrive to school after 7:30 a.m. or who are late to school will report directly to the Front Office.

EARLY DISMISSALIf a student needs to leave school early, the parent or guardian must come to the front office and sign the student out of school
by 1:00 p.m. The person signing the student out will be required to show identification.  If a student becomes ill and must leave, the front office staff or the school nurse will notify the teacher that the parent has picked up the student. No student shall leave school except in the company of his/her parent/guardian, or another person authorized on the registration forms maintained in the front office. The adult the student is leaving with must sign the student out in the front office. The person signing the student out must be listed on that student's registration form in order for the student to be released.
