American Indian Cultures (3rd Grade)

​Building Program, 2 Hours      

Students will learn about the exhibit American Indians of the Southeast coast by studying exciting artifacts that teach of their lifestyles such as pottery, clovis points, stone tools, a dugout canoe and more. Students learn pottery craft by making pinch and coil pots. They are introduced to the concept of weaving, creating a model wattle and daub structure. They also learn to play a Native American game called Chunkey.
