Charle'a Champion has been selected to represent Region 9, covering all of Southeast Georgia, for next school year as a Region Officer. In order to become a Georgia FCCLA Officer, a student must be an active FCCLA member, have taken a Family and Consumer Science course, have multiple recommendation letters as well as signatures of support from the district superintendent, CTAE director, school principal, and FACS teacher. They also must maintain an 80 or higher GPA and score an 80 or higher on an FCCLA Knowledge Exam. With FCCLA being a student-led organization, these officers play a vital role in the success of the organization. As a region officer, Charle'a will attend meetings with the Executive Director and other state executive council members, visit other chapters in the region, assist in maintaining the social media accounts for Region 9, and also participate in the planning of each GAFCCLA event for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a great accomplishment, and we know Charle'a will flourish in her newest leadership role!
