E-Learning Plan August 30th-September 1st 2023

Published on: 8/29/2023

GTK8 Families,

The track of Hurricane Idalia is expected to bring severe weather to our area with the greatest impact to Chatham County expected Wednesday through Thursday. Due to the anticipated heavy rains, strong sustained winds, and potential flooding approaching our area, as well as the planned E-Learning Day, SCCPSS students will not report to school and shift to virtual learning on Wednesday, August 30th through Friday, September 1st. All K-8th Grades students will complete online asynchronous (independent) assignments which will include iReady and S.T.E.A.M. Research Projects, in addition to Choice Boards and any other classroom assignments provided by their teacher(s).

The attached document outlines grade level expectations, staff office hours if students have questions or need additional support, as well as links to Grade Level Choice Boards that should be completed within 5 days of returning to school. Paper versions of choice boards will be sent home Tuesday, August 29th. BE PREPARED & STAY SAFE LIONS! We look forward to seeing our students on Tuesday, September 5th, following the Labor Day Holiday!
