Mrs. Powell's Extraordinary Art Cave

Students at Godley Station School time travel to prehistoric ages in Jobeth Powell's art class, when she teaches about the paintings and art found in the Lascaux Cave (France). Promoting Visual Thinking Strategies, Mrs. Powell designed and built a cave in her classroom to replicate Lascaux, which was discovered in 1940.  Read more about this unique project at the article in the December 2024 edition of the Underground Movement, a newsletter devoted to caving.
