Middle School Basketball

MIDDLE SCHOOL BASKETBALL Hello Godley Station parents. We will begin our basketball tryouts on Monday Feb. 22, 2021 for all middle school student grades 6-8 who meet eligibility requirements. Tryouts will be divided into 2 days. Feb. 22-23 Monday and Tuesday for the girls and Feb. 25-26 Thursday and Friday for the boys. Practices will start at 2:30 and last until 4:15. A completed participation packet and physical form must be signed by players, parents, and doctor in order to tryout NO EXCEPTIONS. They can be picked up from the front office or emailed from Coach King to you directly. They are due to Coach King by Feb. 26, 2021. It can be dropped off into the front office. Players must come dressed and bring their own water with their name labeled for consumption at practice. Masks must be worn to enter and leave the building. Temperature screenings will take place outside the gym on the car ramp prior to coming inside. Nobody should be dropped off until they are screened and cleared to practice. Tryouts and practices are closed to all spectators and parents. Please email our Athletic Director Ryan King at Ryan.King@sccpss.com if you have any questions. Late pick up will result in dismissal from the teams. Changes due to Covid are as follows: Games are tentative to start at 5:30 and 6:30. Spectators are not allowed to view practices or games. Links will try to be provided for parents to view the games. Transportation will be provided to games and students must be on time for transportation at GSS prior to departure. These are new adjustments via the school board and not in place from GSS itself. Should we not have enough interested in participation or fulfilling the roster our season will be terminated.
