It was incredibly exciting to hold a Walk-Through Pep Rally for our Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl Teams yesterday on the eve of the State Competition! We are so proud to report that BOTH our Elementary and Middle School Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl teams captured Third Place in the State Competition! The competition was held online, live from the campus of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. To have not one but TWO teams from the same school to place in the state competition is a rare honor. Both of these teams already won First Place in the District competition as well as in the Regional Competition. WE ARE SO PROUD OF OUR GODLEY STATION STALLION READING BOWL TEAMS!!!!!

On Saturday, February 24, the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl teams from Godley Station competed in the Regional Competition at Valdosta State University. Both the 4th/5th grade team and the Middle School team placed first at this event and will now move on to the state competititon to be held on March 23, 2024.  The Godley Station teams had won the district competition in January.  We are so proud of the work and success of our students and their teachers who were involved in the competition. Thank you to the coaches Sarah Wancour, Cheyenne Blackwell, and Suzanne Campbell.
