Welcome to Garden City Elementary School’s website – “Home of the Hawks, Ready to Fly”! We know that the closing of the 2019-2020 school year was challenging for parents, students & educators as they navigated the pandemic as it relates to careers, childcare, staying healthy, and the overall safety of your family. This experience has no doubt, helped in teaching our students that it takes a community to succeed in tough times such as these with COVID19.
We are thrilled that you have decided to view our school’s website in order to learn more about what we have to offer. Garden City Elementary has a reputation of excellence, and we will continue to strive to become better. We are about to embark upon a new school year with great enthusiasm and anticipation of new opportunities to teach and learn virtually or face-to-face.
The 2020-2021 school year will provide learning experiences that allow students to master grade-level standards through exploration, the use of instructional technology, interactive reading and math journals, hands-on experiences, and inquiry-based learning. Together with the school leadership team and school council, we will work in collaboration to ensure ambitious school goals are set and accountability measures are in place to monitor progress toward meeting those goals.
