Student Device Distribution
SCCPSS schools are 1:1 with student technology. At Ellis, Pre-K and Kindergarten students are assigned an iPad and 1st-8th grade students are assigned a Chromebook to use for assessments, classwork, research, etc. These devices are left at school unless there is a scheduled SCCPSS e-Learning day or special circumstance.

Parents/guardians are required to sign the "Student Device Loan Form" on file in PowerSchool before their student is provided with a device. Currently, the district requires this form to be signed annually.

The SCCPSS district is offering a Family Protection Plan (FPP) for the student devices this year for $25. The FPP will cover accidental damage of the device (whether it occurs at school or home) and will provide up to TWO replacement devices this school year. Please note that the cost of device repairs (if the FPP is NOT purchased) has increased due to demand for the parts (a Chromebook screen replacement, our most common repair, is now $90!), so we HIGHLY recommend that you purchase the FPP for each student's device.

The deadline to purchase the FPP is August 31, 2023.

The FPP can be purchased through School Cash Online. You will find instructions on how to register for School Cash Online and connect your student(s) to your account here.

If your family is in need of a HotSpot device, contact Ms. Lisa (lisa.odonnell@sccpss.com) to see if you qualify.

Is your student's device running slowly? View this document for instructions on how to clear your browser cache/cookies:

Sometimes, it helps to perform a reset on the device (after you clear the cache, for example). To do this properly, close all apps/windows, sign out of the device, and click the “Refresh” button (circular arrow-- top row, fourth button from the left) and “Power” button at the same time.
