Donation Dress Down Day

​Once a month, Ellis participates in a donation dress down day (DDDD). Students and staff may dress out of uniform for a donation of $1 to a non-profit organization that is chosen beforehand. 

During the 2023/2024 school year, Ellis Montessori Academy donated to the following organizations:​

September 2023American Montessori Society Peace Fund (In Memory of Dr. Betsy Coe)- $450.10 

October 2023- United Way of the Coastal Empire- $517.82

November 2023- Emmaus House- $447.35

December 2023- Loop It Up- $381.50

January 2024- Keepers of the Flame Foundation- $543.29

February 2024- M.E.S.S. (Montessori Education Society of Savannah)- $357.15

March 2024- Oatland Island Wildlife Center- $388.05

April 2024- United Negro College Fund- $378.06


If your student wishes to participate in the DDDD, an item will be emailed out through School Cash Online early in the week for you to donate digitally (You will only receive the email if you have registered for a School Cash Online account and added your student(s) to your account. Click here for instructions on how to register​.) OR you may send $1 to school with your student on Friday.

Students should follow the "Acceptable Dress for Non-Uniform Days" Guidelines on page 18 of the 2023/2024 Student Code of Conduct.​
