Pre-K and Kindergarten students receive iPads, and 1st through 8th grade students receive Chromebooks.
Before a device can be issued to your student, you must fill out the following forms on the PowerSchool Parent Portal (Under the "Forms" tab on the left hand menu) for each of your students:
1. Student Device Loan Form- REQUIRED
2. Family Protection Plan (FPP)- OPTIONAL, BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PURCHASE
**Please note: If you have trouble accessing your PowerSchool Parent Portal account, please email Ms. Ja'Dayia (jadayia.coleman-kennedy@sccpss.com) and Ms. Lucy (lucille.holloway@sccpss.com), the Ellis Student Information Specialists.

If you choose to purchase the FPP for your student's device, you must then visit School Cash Online to pay for the insurance ($25). Even if you accept the FPP on the form in PowerSchool, the insurance is not valid until we receive payment.

**Please note: If your student is new to the district/school, you may receive an error when attempting to add them to your School Cash Online account. The district is still adding new students to the platform. Try again in a couple of days to see if your student has been added.
The deadline to purchase the FPP is August 31st.
Update 9/1/2022: If you are filling out the forms for your students AFTER this date, please email Ms. Lisa to let her know. We are no longer checking submissions daily. Also, let Ms. Lisa know if you wish to purchase the FPP so she can set up the item for you in School Cash Online. Since it is past the deadline, it is no longer available to you.
**Please note: If you accept a learning device for your student but decline and/or fail to pay for the FPP, you are responsible to pay for any loss/damage to the device before another device will be issued to your student. No student with a technology charge (missing charger, damaged device, etc.) on their account will be issued a device until the charge is paid.
For example, the cost to repair a cracked screen (the most common accidental damage) without the FPP on file is $90 for a Chromebook and $65 for an iPad.
If you have questions about device distribution, contact Ms. Lisa (lisa.odonnell@sccpss.com).
