Ellis' own, Ms. Brenda Dickinson, was selected to represent the SCCPSS district on the State Superintendent's Parent Advisory Council. She is one of only 30 parents selected to represent districts across the state of Georgia on this council. Parents are nominated to serve on the PAC by their local school districts at the beginning of each school year. Only one nomination per school district is accepted. PAC members are chosen based on their capacity to lead, current levels of involvement in their child's school, and responses to application questions. Ms. Brenda was nominated by the parent faciliator and principal of Johnson High School, where her son is a Senior.
At Ellis, we know first-hand of Ms. Brenda's capacity to lead both inside and outside the classroom. She was voted by the faculty and staff as the Ellis 2020/2021 Instructional Support Person of the Year. We recognize the commitment and leadership that Ms. Brenda displays both at Ellis as a classroom assistant and at Johnson High School as a parent.
Congratulations, Ms. Brenda, for receiving the recognition that you so greatly deserve at the State level for your commitment and dedication to education!
