EOC Testing In-Person Dec. 2 – Dec. 10, 2021

Georgia Milestones (GMAS) End of Course (EOC) testing will begin on Dec. 2, 2021 at SCELA.  High school students taking an EOC course (Biology, Algebra I, American Lit, and/or US History) this semester must take the EOC in December.  A student's final grade in an EOC course will be determined using a combination of the student's grade in the course (as stated by the course teacher) and the EOC score.  The final grade in the course will be calculated using the teacher grade as 80& and the EOC score as 20% of the final grade. Students must earn a 70 or higher as the final course grade to pass the course and earn course credit (SBOE Rule 160-4-2-.13 Statewide Passing Score).

The GMAS EOC assessments can only be given in-person.  SCELA will conduct the mandatory in-person GMAS EOC testing on the following dates

Dec. 2nd: Biology

Dec. 3rd: US History

Dec. 6 – 7th: American Lit & Comp

Dec. 8th: Algebra I

Dec. 9 – 10th: Makeups

Location: SCELA Main Office 3609 Hopkins St. Savannah, GA 31405

Time: Students will be assigned a specific time to report for each assessment for which they are required to take.

Transportation: Transportation is the responsibility of the student/parent.  SCELA will have a limited number of CAT bus tickets available.  Students needing a CAT bus ticket will receive two tickets at the end of the test (1 as a reimbursement for the ticket to SCELA for testing, and 1 to get home).
