The Educate Chatham Foundation encourages community financial support for educational programs, projects, and equipment that are not funded in the state budget; works to improve volunteer opportunities; establishes and expands school-business partnerships; and assists the school system in achieving its goals. Your donations make a real difference in the lives of teachers and children right here in Chatham County by supporting these key initiatives:
- Classroom Impact Grants awarded to teachers, including media specialists, coaches and counselors. Grants promote creative and innovative ideas in and out of the classroom that directly impact student learning.
- Occasional restricted grants for teachers and programs in addition to Classroom Impact Grants.
- Support of both the Teachers of the Year and Instructional Support Person of the Year programs to encourage and recognize great teachers and those who impact our scholars outside the teacher role.
