Georgia Power Summer Internship

GA Power is seeking 40 to 45 interns from across the state to participate in their Summer Internship program. This opportunity is open to the Class of 2020 and 2021 and offers pay at $10 per hour/40 hours per week. Successful interns may have the opportunity to pursue full-time employment with GA Power at the end of the program. A link to the application is included with the Summer Student Worker flyer. To assist students and educators in learning more about this program as well as the application process, we will host a YouTube Live session with GA Power representatives on January 28th at 10 a.m.  GA Power Info Session Link   If students or educators would like to submit a question to be asked during the session, a link has also been provided. GA Power Info Session Student and Educator Questions

 

In addition to the information found on the flyers, GA Power will host Virtual CAST Bootcamp sessions to assist students with passing the CAST pre-employment test. Attendance and participation in the sessions will increase a student’s chance of becoming an intern as well as future full-time employment.

 

4 Sessions, 3 hours each from 5:00-8 p.m.

Session 1 – Tuesday, February 23rd

Session 2 – Thursday, February 25th

Session 3 – Tuesday, March 2nd

Session 4 – Thursday, March 4th 

 

Basic qualifications:

  • Must be a current senior with an expected graduation – May of 2021 (because of the pandemic we’re also considering 2019 graduates) 
  • Current and valid driver’s license
  • Supply current HS transcript
  • Have the aptitude and interest for this job
  • Physically able
  • Drug and nicotine free​
