There was a demand for more space for students in West Chatham county. Godley Station K-8 is just that. The 167,142 square foot facility hosts 74 classrooms, with four computer/technology labs, two music classrooms, and two art classrooms. There is also a 16,000 square foot physical education facility with a full-sized gymnasium and more. To ensure security at Godley Station, a system is in place that locks the doors automatically during school days.​ ​
