 Technology Donation Guidelines

The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS) thanks you for your interest in donating technology to be used by our teachers and students.  To ensure that donated technology supports modern applications and security programs, the following guidelines are provided for your review:

Minimum Standards as of March 2023:

Desktops Specifications
AgeNo more than three years old
PartsMust include computer, keyboard, mouse, and monitor
StatusAll parts must be in working order with no physical damage
MonitorsFlat screen monitors only
Laptops
AgeNo more than two years old
PartsLaptop and charging cable
StatusAll parts must be in working order with no physical damage
Printers
Network LaserJet PrintersNo more than two years old
Inkjet printersNot accepted due to the cost of ink

How to Start the Process
To initiate this process, please contact the school that you prefer to donate the equipment to. If you do not have a preferred school, please contact the Communications Department at 912-395-5538.
 
The following information will need to be provided to the site:
1) Type and quantity of equipment (including year purchased, make/model, and if available, serial number)
2) Condition: New or Used
3) Operating System (OS) and presence of Certificate of Authenticity (COA)

Once the equipment is approved, you will be able to drop the equipment off for school setup and use.  ​​
