Mr. Duplessie (CTAE, Audio-Visual Technology) and Mr. Price (sixth-grade, science) serenade students during morning duty. The teachers say that they occasionally bring their guitars to school on Fridays to bring a bit of energy and enthusiasm to the students as they start the school day. Duplessie said that hearing live music can be a good way to help students establish a positive mindset, and by observing others playing, students can be inspired to try new things. Both teachers asserted that regular musical demonstrations for the children, especially with multiple staff members, can reinforce the power of collaboration, community, and the ability of music to help bring people together to feel good and lift moods.
