Independent Learning During Emergency School Closure
Independent Learning Days ensure students can engage in relevant, grade-appropriate learning opportunities while they are away from the classroom. If you have questions or concerns about teacher contact/work assignments, please contact your teacher first, then your principal.
PLEASE NOTE:
April 6, 2020 - CONTINUED Independent Learning: All teachers have already set up a digital classroom through Google Classroom, Edmodo, Schoology, Microsoft Teams, or other learning platforms students are already familiar with from this school year. Students have already been working in these learning platforms on their computers from home and will continue to do so. There are no changes to this plan from the district level.
IF a student does NOT have computer/internet access and therefore needs a paper packet, NEW Independent Learning Packets are available at each elementary, middle, and K-8 school beginning April 6 through April 10 for parents to pick up. The learning packets have been placed in bins outside each school's entrance and are clearly labeled with the appropriate grade level. The learning packet contains work for the remainder of the school year along with a weekly calendar indicating the work to be completed each week.
AGAIN, if students have computer/internet access at home to complete their school work they DO NOT need a paper Independent Learning Packet.
If you have any questions about the work your child needs to complete, please contact their teacher or principal.
