Tell your School Lunch Story!

Published on: 11/29/2023

Calling all Georgia parents, teachers, school nutrition professionals, and administrators!

Do you have a story about how school meals made a difference for your family or your students? We are looking for YOU!

The American Heart Association and Small Bites Adventure Club believe that school meals should be provided at no charge for all students, just as they were during the height of the pandemic.

If you have a story about why you feel the same and/or how school meals have benefited your family or students, click here and share your story by Fri. Dec. 15.

We will provide a $100 Instacart gift card for 20 people who submit stories.

We recommend a 5-10 sentence story.  Here's a sample story:

“I am a school cafeteria manager. Last week, my staff noticed that two siblings would trade off who would purchase school lunch each day, with the other sibling skipping lunch. It broke my heart. I believe in this program because no student should have to learn on an empty stomach."
