Academy at Bartlett has once again been recognized by the Future of Education
Technology Conference as having the number one middle school STEM program in
the United States. The school was named one of the top three finalists for
the FETC STEM Excellence Award last month and the winner was announced this
morning at the conference in Orlando, Florida.
FETC STEM Excellence Awards recognize excellence and innovation in the field of
STEM education at the primary, middle and high school levels. The
finalists were determined by the FETC STEM Advisory Committee, consisting of a
seven-member panel of high-ranking educational professionals from across the
country. The panel evaluated hundreds of applications before selecting
three finalists and eventual winner, in each age level.
STEM Excellence Awards applications are
evaluated based on the use of Interdisciplinary Curriculum, Collaboration,
Design, Problem Solving and the STEM Experiences offered. This is the
second time the STEM Academy has been named tops in the nation. The
school previously won the STEM Excellence award in 2016.
