SCCPSS Shifts to Remote Schedules for Thursday, March 18th Due to Potentially Dangerous Weather Conditions

Published on: 3/17/2021

Due to the forecasted severe weather on Thursday, March 18, 2021, that could bring significant thunderstorm activity with damaging winds, threat of tornadoes, and power outages, all SCCPSS facilities will be closed tomorrow (3/18) and all instruction will be provided virtually on a modified schedule.  Because of the possibility of power outages associated with the arrival of this weather system, all virtual learning and remote work schedules will end at 12:00pm.  The start times for student and staff remote schedules will remain unchanged.  All athletic practices and games, as well as any after-school activities will be canceled on Thursday, March 18, 2021.

Parents and staff are encouraged to monitor the weather forecast closely and stay alert to changing conditions.

All staff, excluding essential personal as identified by his/her immediate supervisor, will work remotely.

RECAP:

  • SCCPSS will provide virtual learning for all students on 3/18/2021.
  • Staff will work remotely unless instructed otherwise by his/her immediate supervisor.
  • Remote schedules on this day will end at 12:00pm.
