SCCPSS Monitoring Weather - No Change Anticipated to School Schedules

Published on: 9/11/2018

Savannah-Chatham County Public School Officials continue to monitor the track of Hurricane Florence.  Updates from Chatham Emergency Management and the National Weather Service appear to show a continued move to the north for the storm with only minimal impacts expected in our area.  All schools are expected to remain open and on their regular operational schedule this week.

While we are not expected to see any direct effects from Hurricane Florence here in Chatham County, if conditions were to change, parents would be notified through the parent notification system, SCCPSS website and social media feeds.  We want to remind our staff and families to have a plan in place to keep your loved ones safe throughout this hurricane season which doesn’t end until November 30th.
