Delayed for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, an official ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the new White Bluff Elementary School facility on Friday, August 27, 2021. The ESPLOST funded construction project officially opening for students in the 2020-21 School Year – though no students crossed through the doors full time, five days a week last year due to the hybrid plan put in place to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
The 22-million-dollar project was built to house 650 students in 100,239 square feet. It includes a full administrative suite, cafetorium with adjoining courtyard, gymnasium, state of the art library/learning commons, music/art rooms, special education rooms, and classrooms.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was held in the Learning Commons with Board members, district staff and representatives of the architectural and construction firms in attendance.
