The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System recognized Ralph Taylor at this month's board meeting as the Superintendent's Student of the month of February 2020. Our featured student attends Hubert Middle School and is in eighth grade.
Ralph is always improving his studies as he is an Honor Roll student! In order to maintain his 3.0 GPA, he continually goes to after school tutoring sessions. He keeps up with his academics because he would like to apply for the choice program at Early College in the Spring of 2020. Recently, he made Hubert's basketball team and is also involved in the band and 21st Century. He has won numerous awards and has made himself a standout student with his attitude and character. Additionally, he is a part of Savannah State University's Educational Talent Search and Gear Up programs and the 100 Black Man of Savannah mentor program.
When his teacher asked what motivates him to strive for academic success, he quoted, “There is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs."
We are proud to announce the Superintendent's Student of the Month for February 2020 is Ralph Taylor! Congratulations to our student, his family, and the faculty and staff of Hubert Middle School!
