The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System recognized Pe'lae Massey at this month's board meeting as the Superintendent's Student of the month of November 2019. Our featured student is a senior at Johnson High School.
With a combination
of maturity and hard work, she handled the transition from sophomore Honors
classes to the IB Diploma Program in 11th grade. She is the recipient of
Georgia Certificate of Merit Academic Excellence Award. She is the vice
president of Johnson’s DECA club and a member of their Model United Nations
team. Outside of the classroom, Pe’lae serves as the athletic trainer
assistant, soccer team student manager, and the girls’ basketball team student
manager.
Pe’lae plans to
attend college after graduation and aspires to have a career in cyber security.
She says, “I am motivated to succeed because I want to have the opportunity to
have a positive impact on the lives of others”.
We
