November is Family Engagement Month

Published on: 11/10/2020

November is Family Engagement Month and the Georgia Department of Education, Family-School Partnership Program asked schools, families, and communities to come together and showcase their message of RESLIENCY.  All Title I schools were invited to submit a virtual project to share the work they are doing to be Virtually Unstoppable in their outreach to engage parents and families with online programs, activities, and events.  Parents play an important role in supporting their children's academic achievements.  As a part of a friendly competition, school systems and families were asked to submit an image, collection of images, or a video file reflecting positive outcomes of strong family, school, and community partnerships during these unprecedented times.  Two Savannah Chatham County Schools' films were selected for the contest.  Congratulations to Rice Creek Elementary and Largo-Tibet Elementary!
