Leading by Empowering and Advancing Parents - Reskilling and Upskilling For the New Workplace

Published on: 2/15/2023

Savannah Chatham County Public School System is launching a new program called LEAP - Leading by Empowering and Advancing Parents. LEAP is an Upskilling and Reskilling program designed to provide parents the opportunities for new or advanced skills that can be applied in the modern workforce.

Our workforce continues to evolve and change. This means it is important to learn new skills required for job advancement or changing jobs. LEAP will provide opportunities for our parents to reskill or upskill and apply to new positions and earn better wages.  Through a generous grant from Georgia Power,  SCCPSS can invest in our families and community.

Beginning March 4, 2023, and over four weeks, SCCPSS will offer courses to parents on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The cost of each course is $25.00. The rest of the fees will be covered by the grant from Georgia Power.  The courses are designed to enhance your work life, career pivot, and earn a raise, to name a few.
