The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System recognized Jeremy Williams, Jr. at this month's board meeting as the Superintendent's Student of the month of August 2019. Our featured student attends Jacob G. Elementary School and is in fourth grade.
Jeremy is described
as “a model student in every regard who excels but works hard to do so”. He is
a high honor roll student who made greatest improvement on the reading MAP test
at the end of last school. Outside of school, he is active in his church and plays
two positions on the Garden City Eagles football team. He enjoys playing
outside, reading comic books, and has been learning to play the piano.
When he was asked
what motivates him to strive for academic success, he claimed, “I like seeing
honor roll. It makes me feel special and my family is always proud of me."
We
are proud to announce the Superintendent’s Student of the Month for August 2019
is Jeremy Williams, Jr.! Congratulations to our student, his family, and the
faculty and staff of Jacob G. Smith Elementary School!
