Ghost Pirates’ Mascot Pep Rally at White Bluff Elementary

Published on: 10/5/2022

Students at White Bluff Elementary received a special visit from Davy, the Ghost Pirate Mascot, Tuesday, October 4.  Davy was there to recognize Joan White, a teacher at White Bluff, who met the Ghost Pirates at an event and entered the contest to win a visit from the mascot.

“It was just luck," said Mrs. White.  “But it was GOOD luck!  We just all care about or kids so much and to them all excited and to see them happy warmed all the teachers' hearts and my heart as well. It was wonderful to see the looks on their faces and the joy when they saw Davy."

Ghost Pirates personnel were on hand to share t-shirts and beads with the students.  The White Bluff Eagle was the winner in the Mascot Dance-off!  Students even got to square off against Davy for a goal stand!  All the attendees were excited and many were reaching out hoping for a high-five from the Ghost Pirate.

“It was really cool," said Daniel, a student at White Bluff Elementary School, “He's really good at shooting hockey pucks!"
