December 2023 Student of the Month

Published on: 1/12/2024

Our Student of the Month for December is a fifth grader at Haven Elementary School.  This outstanding student is a member of the Jr. Beta Club, Drama Club, Chess Club, the Haven News Crew, and Girls Who Code.  She also has won the Remarkable Reader Award AND the Super Scientist Award.

Our honoree is an exceptional student who embodies the essence of hard work, determination, and a positive attitude.  She strives daily to do her best work and has a genuine enthusiasm for learning. With a 92% grade average, her performance in all subject areas is impressive. School is important to her, and she puts in the hard work to perform at the highest level. She truly enjoys learning, and her thirst for knowledge is inspiring her classmates to strive for their best.

Listen to what Ms. Jeffries said about our student: “I have so many positive things to say.  From the moment she gets to school to the moment she goes home, she has a can-do attitude and a beautiful smile on her face.  I was her Kindergarten teacher when she first started at Haven, and now 5 years later, I have the privilege of being her teacher for the gifted program.  She was, and still is, a true leader of her grade level.  She is a kind friend to all, a respectful student in the classroom, and a shining example to her peers!”

When asked what motivates her for academic success, our student replied, "I am motivated to do well because I want to go to college.  If I do my job at school, it makes my mom's job easier.  I want to make her happy and proud and myself happy and proud."

Congratulations to Nikori, her family, and the faculty and staff at Haven Elementary!
