Audition Prep Being Offered for 5th Grade SCCPSS Students Planning to Audition for Garrison Middle School Arts Programs

Published on: 9/17/2018

SCCPSS’ fifth graders will soon have to determine what middle school they would like to attend. In January, many will choose to apply to the various Choice Programs the district offers including the arts programs offered to middle grades students at Garrison School for the Arts. Students not familiar with the school’s programs could benefit from participating in “Arts Alive”.

The Garrison School for the Arts fine arts’ faculty has developed this series of workshops directed at helping students prepare for their middle school audition. The “Arts Alive” program is designed to help students prepare for their 6th grade audition in band, orchestra, dance (ballet/modern), theatre, piano, visual arts, or chorus. The first workshop this year will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 5:00pm – 6:15pm at Garrison School for the Arts.
