The Savannah-Chatham County
Public School System recognized Andy Doan at this month’s board meeting as the
Superintendent’s Student of the month of October 2019. Our featured student attends
Georgetown K-8 School and is in eighth grade.
Andy is described
as “a modest gentleman who always shows respect to his teachers as well as his
peers”. He is very eager to learn new subject matter and is disciplined in
making sure he fully learns the content. On the first math MAP test this year,
he scored in the highest category. He has earned High Honor Roll on a yearly
basis and has received a Spanish award. Outside of school, he runs with a cross
country team and plays soccer.
He notes his
parents and success for his future are what motivates him to strive for
academic success.
