The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System recognized Andrew Conner at this month's board meeting as the Superintendent's Student of the month of December 2019. Our featured student attends Hesse K-8 School and is in second grade.
Andrew is described as “brilliant, kind, and most importantly HUMBLE”. He is always looking for ways to earn points for his classroom groups by finding vocabulary words outside of school, spelling words, or making connections with what his class is learning. This year for quarter one, he received High Honor Roll and an E in citizenship. Andrew is a part of Hesse’s Gifted Program, Slaw Dog baseball, Dawgs football, plays basketball for the Jenkins Athletic Club, and United soccer.
When his teacher asked what motivates him to strive for academic success, he said, “I want to do it for myself.” Andrew participates in class and is a good role model for other students in the classroom. He is shy but is known to have a leadership presence about him. It is obvious his peers want to follow his lead and want to be around him.
We are proud to announce the Superintendent’s Student of the Month for December 2019 is Andrew Conner! Congratulations to our student, his family, and the faculty and staff of Hesse K-8 School!
