SCCPSS officials continue to monitor the track of Tropical Storm Nicole in consultation with the Chatham Emergency Management Agency and with information from the National Weather Service. The current track of the storm has the potential to bring weather conditions to our area that include sustained winds of 10 to 20 miles per hour with higher gusts late Thursday afternoon.
Given the latest information available at this time, teaching and learning will continue on regular schedules for the day Thursday, November 10. In the best interest of safety for our students and staff, the decision has been made to cancel all afterschool activities on Thursday. There will be no athletic or club activities held after school hours. In addition, 21st Century and YMCA Afterschool Care will be canceled.
Should conditions change, information will be provided through the District's official communication channels including staff email, call notification system, website postings at sccpss.com, and the District's Social Media Channels.
Please remember that Friday, November 11, 2022, is a holiday for all. Schools and offices will be closed in observance of the Veterans Day Holiday.
